Two ladies who can really rock the beach waves look.

How To: No Heat Beach Waves

Now that Summer is almost here, well I say almost it's still winter but we can dream, its time to start thinking about them Summer beach waves.  I LOVE a beach wave kinda hair day.  I enjoy waking up on a morning and pampering myself, doing my hair and make up.  One thing I have noticed is that I use my curling iron and hair straightener way too much.

I've noticed that my hair becomes dry and pretty much dead when I apply so much heat to my hair.  Today I bring you no heat beach waves, a hair style that's probably gonna rock pretty much every day.  It's effortless and super easy to master.

Top Tip:  I find this hair style works best with wet hair.

Lets embrace that inner mermaid.....

No Heat Beach Waves:

The best way to achieve this hair style is with wet hair.  Not soaking wet but just damp.  So towel dry your hair so it's damp and not soaking!  Now let me show you 2 ways:

#1 Sea Salt Spray - This will give you beach waves like no other.  With damp hair, bring your hair forward and spray a small amount of Sea Salt Spray in your hair, not too much as sea salt spray can make your hair look dirty if you spray too much.  Now begin to Scrunch up your hair to allow the spray to settle in.  Keep scrunching up your hair until you hair is completely dry.  (If your hair is usually frizzy then spray some No Frizz spray on to your ends)  BOOM! Fresh and stylish hair with no effort.

#2 Overnight Beach Waves - Once again best with damp hair.  Separate your hair into 2/4 sections and braid loosely.  Leave the braids in overnight.  Wake up freshen up and undo the braids and WHAM!  Easy beach waves to go!

Beach waves are my go to hair style.  Especially in the summer time, it takes seconds to create such an amazing look.  My hair is naturally slightly curly so instead of straightening my hair this is perfect!

2 0f the best MAC Lipsticks, Ever!

The first ever high-end makeup product I bought was Russian Red lipstick by MAC, and since then MAC lipsticks have been some of my favourites.

When I first got to the counter to find my very first lipstick, I was baffled by what the MAC finishes meant, but now that I’ve gotten to grips with the entire system, I can’t help but add to my collection every now and then. However, there are two that have stuck in my mind as favourites for many years, and I’ll always find myself returning to them.

Here are two of my favourite MAC lipsticks (and why they’re so amazing):

#1 | Patisserie

My favourite nude lipstick of all time is Patisserie and it’s probably my all-time favourite makeup product. I got this on Anna's recommendation a few years ago and I've been through about 3 tubes since… That’s how obsessed I am!

It's achieved holy grail status due to its ability to make my pale skin look less-washed out than other nude lipsticks do. It's a Lustre finish, meaning its sheer and easy to apply - so much so that you don't need a mirror to apply it.

I've applied this whilst on the bus before and the result came out much better than expected! No smears across the face and no patchiness… Result.

#2 | Rebel

Another favourite is Rebel; a classic staple that is basically my everyday look in the Autumn/Winter months.

It's a gorgeous deep purple that comes out brighter on the lips than it looks in the tube. This is the most versatile lipstick I own - you can wear it on its own, lightly patted onto the lips as a subtle stain or mixed with a red lipstick to create a deep burgundy colour. It's a Satin finish so it's long wearing and has an opaque colour.

What's your favourite MAC lipstick?
